2026 Ishihama Beach Full-Day Course
This is a full-day course centered on Ishihama Beach in Hitachi City, Ibaraki Prefecture, open from Saturday, July 18 to Sunday, August 23, 2026, from 9am to 4pm. In the morning, start at Juo Panorama Park, where you can move your body on the hilltop observation plaza and lawn plaza overlooking the Pacific Ocean, giving the family a relaxed start to the day. Next, head to Kogaigahama Coast, part of Ishihama Prefectural Natural Park. Peering into the tide pools formed among the rocks to observe small crabs and shells makes for a fun little adventure before swimming. After lunch, head to the parking lot attached to JR Joban Line's Juo Station. You can leave your car here and take a bus from in front of the station to the beach. Finally, in the afternoon, head to Ishihama Beach. Swimming is free, showers and restrooms are also free, and there is a public parking lot with about 260 spaces (¥1,000/day for regular cars), making it reassuring for families arriving by car. Enjoy playing in the sea at a relaxed pace on the quiet, pine-lined sandy beach until close to evening. Why not prepare your swimsuit and towel and head to Hitachi this summer?
