2026 Okitsu Beach (Shimanto Town) Full Day Experience Course

This is a full-day course centered on Okitsu Beach in Shimanto Town, Kōchi Prefecture, which opens from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM from July 1 to August 31, 2026. In the morning, visit nearby Kure in Nakatsosa Town, where you can explore the lively Kure Taishō-chō Market featuring fresh seafood like bonito, and pray for safe travels at Kure Hachiman Shrine. After a meal at the market's cafeteria, head to Okitsu Beach. This Pacific-facing beach offers free swimming and 50 free parking spaces—a welcome feature for families. Toilets and a hot water shower (100 yen) are available, and the adjacent Okitsu Youth Travel Village offers bungalows and camping facilities. Whether you're playing in the shallow waves or searching for shells on the sand, each family member can enjoy the day at their own pace. Swimming is available until 5:00 PM, so it's recommended to wrap up around 4:00 PM to allow time for changing. Bring your swimsuit and towel, and head out to enjoy Kōchi's pristine waters.
