This is a full-day course centered around the Toya Lake Long-Term Fireworks Festival, held every evening on July 20, 2026 at Toya Lake Hot Spring lakeside in Toyako Town, Abuta County. The Toya Lake Long-Term Fireworks Festival is a rare year-round fireworks display in Japan, launching nightly without break from April 28 to October 31. Enjoy a boat tour around Nakajima in the daytime, then learn about the history of the 2000 Mount Usu eruption at Toya Lake Visitor Center and Volcano Science Museum. In the afternoon, take an aerial journey on the Mount Usu Ropeway to enjoy the spectacular sight of Lake Toya and Showa Shinzan below. In the evening, enjoy free foot baths and dinner in Toya Lake Hot Spring town while waiting for the fireworks by the lakeside. From 8:45 PM for approximately 20 minutes, about 450 fireworks illuminate the lake surface, with the launching sounds echoing across the quiet lakeside.
