2026 Isawa Onsen Ukai Fireworks Full-Day Course
Centered on the Isawa Onsen Ukai Fireworks (石和温泉鵜飼花火), held on Monday, July 20, 2026, this one-day course lets you fully enjoy Isawa Onsen (石和温泉), the leading hot-spring resort of the Kofu Basin. At midday, pay a visit to Asama Shrine, Ichinomiya of Kai Province (甲斐国一宮浅間神社), then take a breather at Fuefukigawa Fruit Park (笛吹川フルーツ公園), wrapped in the basin's scenery and the scent of fruit. Stop by Onmyoji Temple (遠妙寺) as well, linked to the ukai legend that also lends its name to the fireworks, and in the evening, wait for the summer night by making the rounds of Isawa's footbaths in the hot-spring town. Once the sun sets, move to the Fuefuki River riverbed in front of Fuefuki City Hall to secure a spot and enjoy local flavors like hoto noodles from the food stalls. When fireworks light the night sky, it brings a warm, hot-spring-town summer festival to its close. The event is also held at the same spot on Wednesday, July 22 (with July 21 off), so it's nice to be able to choose your date. This is a Yamanashi summer day plan that lets you savor a historical stroll, a hot-spring mood, and riverside fireworks all at once.
