2026 Nihonbara Camp Summer Evening Festival: Full-Day Enjoyment Course

This is a course centered on the Nihonbara Camp Summer Evening Festival (日本原駐屯地納涼大会), held on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, letting you spend a leisurely day exploring Nagi Town at the foot of Mount Nagi (那岐山). During the day, experience local flavors at Michi-no-Eki Nagi (道の駅奈義), then visit the Nagi Museum of Contemporary Art (奈義町現代美術館), known for its distinctive architecture, and feel the power of nature at the Great Ginkgo Tree of Bodaiji (菩提寺の大イチョウ), said to be over 1,000 years old. In the evening, wash off the sweat and freshen up at a hot spring before heading to the venue. The Summer Evening Festival, lively with Self-Defense Force-exclusive events and food stalls, begins when the gates open at 18:00 in front of Musashikan at Nihonbara Camp (日本原駐屯地), and fireworks color the night sky as the finale.
