2026 Asa Fireworks Festival: A Full-Day Course
A course centered on the Asa Fireworks Festival (held Saturday, July 25, 2026) that lets you enjoy a full day in the Asa area of Sanyo-Onoda City. Spend a relaxing midday in front of Asa Station (厚狭駅), where the shinkansen also stops, and head to Hanaoka Fukutoku Inari Shrine (花岡福徳稲荷社), lined with vivid vermilion torii gates, in the afternoon. In the evening, stroll along the banks of the Asa River (厚狭川), the festival venue, and wait for the show to begin while filling up at the night stalls. Over 45 minutes from 8:00 pm to 8:45 pm, about 1,500 fireworks launch into the night sky over the Asa River. This is a warm, community-rooted day plan that lets you enjoy both a shrine visit and riverside fireworks to the fullest.
