2026 Smile Project☆Kaminoyama: A Full-Day Course
Centered on Smile Project☆Kaminoyama (スマイルプロジェクト☆かみのやま), with fireworks launching from 7:30 PM on Saturday, July 25, 2026, this one-day course lets you enjoy Kaminoyama City (上山市), Yamagata Prefecture, known for its castle town charm and hot springs. At midday, enjoy a historical stroll at Kaminoyama Castle (上山城), standing in Tsukioka Park (月岡公園), and in the afternoon, take a relaxing break touring the foot baths of Kaminoyama Onsen's hot spring town. In the evening, head early to the venue, Shimin Sogo Undo Hiroba (市民総合運動広場, Sanyu Engineer Sports and Culture Center Ground), and fill up on food from the night stalls while waiting for the show to start. From 7:30 PM, fireworks launch into the night sky over Keyaki-no-Mori (けやきの森). This is a one-day plan unique to Kaminoyama, letting you greedily enjoy a historical stroll through the castle town, the hot spring atmosphere, and spectacular fireworks all in one.
