2026 Mori Summer Festival: A Full-Day Course
This course centers on the Mori Summer Festival, held on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at 8:30 p.m., and spends a full day exploring the satoyama countryside of the Mori area in Yasugi City, Shimane Prefecture. During the day, relax and feel nature at a dam lake nestled in the mountains, and walk along satoyama paths through spreading rural scenery. In the evening, secure a spot within the area and wait for the show to begin while having dinner. At night, about 1,000 fireworks color the night sky over the mountains. It's a summer day plan in Mori where you can fully enjoy both a satoyama walk and fireworks. Since this is a high-altitude area, it tends to cool down from evening even in summer. About 1,000 fireworks are launched; the event proceeds in light rain but is postponed in bad weather, so checking in advance is recommended. It's a quiet summer festival surrounded by nature that families can enjoy at a relaxed pace.
