2026 Kawaguchi Festival Grand Fireworks Display: A Full-Day Enjoyment Course
This is a one-day course centered on the Kawaguchi Festival Grand Fireworks Display, held on Saturday, July 25, 2026, on the banks of the Uono River in Kawaguchi, Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture. At midday, enjoy shopping and meals in front of JR Echigo-Kawaguchi Station, and in the afternoon, fully enjoy playing in the river and strolling through the riverside park where the Uono River and Shinano River meet. In the evening, return to the riverbank once more, spread out a leisure sheet to secure a spot, and have dinner there. As the sky darkens, about 3,000 fireworks shells shoot into the night sky one after another, coloring the riverbank where the two great rivers meet. Set amid the peaceful satoyama scenery typical of the Chuetsu region, this is a plan where families can relax and enjoy the fireworks together. The area around the venue is rich in nature, and another appeal is being able to spend time feeling the cool river breeze.
