2026 Honjo River Festival Fireworks Display 1-Day Full Experience Course

This course centers on the Honjo River Festival Fireworks Display, launched on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Yusui Park (the riverbed in front of Boat Plaza Aquapal) in Yurihonjo City, Akita Prefecture, letting you enjoy Yurihonjo along the Koyoshi River over the course of a day. At midday, stroll through the lush grounds of Honjo Park while touching on the history of the castle town, then enjoy the exhibits and facilities at Yurihonjo City Cultural Exchange Center Kadare. In the afternoon, visit Boat Plaza Aquapal, which also serves as the fireworks venue, and cool off in the breeze off the Koyoshi River. In the evening, secure a spot around Yusui Park while picking up dinner, and wait for sunset. At 7:30 PM, fireworks light up the night sky over the Koyoshi River, and for about an hour and a half until 9 PM, enjoy the fireworks' light reflected on the river surface with your family. This is a Yurihonjo exclusive plan where you can indulge in a castle-town walk, riverside relaxation, and fireworks coloring the night sky, all in one. The area around the venue gets crowded after dark, so plan to move with extra time to spare.
