2026 Anji Ship Festival 1-Day Experience Course

Taking the Anji Ship Festival, which starts at 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2026, as the main event, this is a 1-day course to fully enjoy the Anji Town area of Takamatsu City, attractive for its Anji Stone and seascape of the Seto Inland Sea, starting from around noon. At noon, head to Yashima, known as an ancient battlefield of the Genpei War. Enjoy panoramic views of the Seto Inland Sea from the mountaintop and historical sightseeing at Yashima Temple. Then enjoy a stroll through the open-air museum of the Shikoku Village Museum, where old farmhouses relocated from various parts of Shikoku are gathered. In the evening, around Anji Port, purchase dinner and secure a spot while waiting for sunset. Starting at 8 p.m., the fireworks of the Anji Ship Festival light up the night sky over Anji Port.
