2026 43rd Nakafurano Lavender Festival & Fireworks Festival: Full-Day Course
On Saturday, August 1, 2026, this full-day course lets you thoroughly enjoy a Furano Basin summer, centered on the 43rd Nakafurano Lavender Festival & Fireworks Festival held mainly at Hokusei-yama Lavender Garden in Nakafurano-cho, Sorachi-gun. Start midday at Farm Tomita (ファーム富田), a moment surrounded by sweeping purple lavender fields and their sweet fragrance. Next, enjoy a light bite and souvenir shopping while soaking up the town atmosphere in front of Nakafurano Station. In the afternoon, head to Hokusei-yama Lavender Garden, also the festival venue, and take the sightseeing chairlift up the mountain for a grand panorama of the lavender fields and the Furano Basin. In the evening, fill up on food from the stalls lining the festival venue while waiting for the sky to gradually darken. At 7:45 p.m., fireworks from the venue atop the mountain color the night sky over the Furano Basin, enjoyed amid open views that stretch far into the distance. Admission on the festival day is required, with lavender garden entry tickets priced at 3,000 yen per person. It's an indulgent plan letting you savor both lavender and fireworks, two views that define a Hokkaido summer, in a single day.
