2026 The 52nd Shimukappu Village Furusato Festival Grand Fireworks Display: A Full One-Day Course
A one-day course centered on the 52nd Shimukappu Village Furusato Festival Grand Fireworks Display, held in Chuo, Shimukappu Village, Yufutsu District, on Saturday, August 1, 2026, letting you fully enjoy a small village located almost at the very center of Hokkaido. By day, play at the pocket park at Michi-no-Eki Shizen Taikan Shimukappu, and get up close to the creatures living along the riverbed of the Mukawa River. After lunch on local ingredients at Yunosawa Onsen Mori no Shiki, a lone inn in the forest, move to the venue, Shimukappu Village Farm Park, in the evening to enjoy the food stalls while securing your spot. Once night falls, about 1,000 fireworks shells color the night sky at a distance so close they feel like they might fall right on you. This is a plan for enjoying a fireworks display that's both intimate and tremendously powerful, unique to a small village of about 1,200 people.
