2026 54th Apoi Fire Festival: Full-Day Course

This full-day course centers on the 54th Apoi Fire Festival, held Saturday, August 1 and Sunday, August 2, 2026, letting you enjoy a day in Samani-cho, Hokkaido. At midday, learn about globally rare alpine plants and the formation of the geopark at the Mt. Apoi Geopark Visitor Center, and in the afternoon take a stroll along the coast while admiring Oyako Iwa, the striking rock formations floating offshore. Enjoy browsing Samani's specialties and souvenirs at the Samani Tourist Information Center Mina Sama ni, and in the evening have an early meal around Samani Port before heading to Nishikicho, the fireworks venue. Starting at 8 p.m. once the sun has set, fireworks launch one after another into the night sky, coloring the Hidaka seaside evening. This is a plan unique to Samani, packed generously with the geopark's nature, scenic seaside spots, and summer fireworks.
