2026 Summer Festival Sakuto Fireworks — A Full-Day Course
Centered on the Summer Festival Sakuto Fireworks held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, this course spends a full day enjoying the Sakuto area of Mimasaka City. At midday, take in the town atmosphere in front of JR Mimasaka-Emi Station, then experience the sea of green at the tea fields of Kaidaen Kurosaka Seicha, known as the ‘tea fields in the sky.’ In the afternoon, fully enjoy the mountain scenery at Valentine Park Sakuto, a scenic hilltop, and in the evening, move to the fireworks venue at the Sakuto Junior High School grounds to fill up on festival food stalls. The festival runs from 18:00 to 21:30 (planned), and as darkness falls, about 1,200 fireworks shells launch into the night sky. A summer day plan where families look up at fireworks that feel close to the starry sky, unique to this quiet mountain town.
