2026 Koshi Summer Festival — A Full-Day Course

Centered on the Koshi Summer Festival held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, this course spends a full day enjoying the Kando River (神戸川) area of Izumo City, Shimane Prefecture. Have a light meal at midday in front of Izumoshi Station, then have fun as a family at the Izumo Science Museum, known for its enjoyable hands-on exhibits. In the afternoon, enjoy shopping and a break at the Izumo Yume Town shopping mall, and in the evening, cool off with a stroll along the embankment of the Kando River, near the fireworks venue. Once the sun sets, secure a spot along the embankment and wait for the show to begin. At 20:00, fireworks launch one after another into the night sky over the Kando River, creating a beautiful scene as their light reflects on the water's surface.
