2026 Seto Evening-Calm Festival (瀬戸の夕凪まつり): A Full-Day Course

This course puts the Seto Evening-Calm Festival (瀬戸の夕凪まつり), held on Sunday, August 2, 2026, front and center, for a full day enjoying the Mitsukue area of Ikata Town (伊方町), Ehime Prefecture. At midday, enjoy water play in the calm inlet of Mitsukue Bay (三机湾), and in the afternoon stroll through Mitsukue Port (三机港), where the scenery of a traditional fishing port unfolds. After browsing for souvenirs at Roadside Station Ikata Kirara-kan (道の駅 伊方・きらら館), lined with Sadamisaki Peninsula (佐田岬半島) specialties, head back to Mitsukue Beach (三机海岸) in the evening to cool off and have an early bite. Once the sun sets, about 2,000 fireworks rise one after another over the quiet inlet's night sky. This is a plan unique to the Sadamisaki Peninsula, packing in the calm sea, the charm of a fishing-port town, and summer fireworks all in one day.
