2026 Yasaka Shrine Festival: A Full-Day Course
Centered on the Yasaka Shrine Festival, held over two days with the eve festival on Saturday, August 1, 2026 and the main festival on Sunday, August 2, this course lets you spend a full day enjoying Toei Town, Kitashitara District, Aichi Prefecture, known as a town nestled among the mountains. Have lunch at a hot spring facility at midday, then cool off in the afternoon by playing in the river at a valley. Visit a museum that lets you experience the world of Hana Matsuri, a festival designated as a Nationally Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property, and then pick up dinner around Shimoda Ichiba in the evening. At night, look up at fireworks launching from 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, the 1st, from within the town: a summer day true to a mountain village.
