2026 Yassa! Imazu!! 2026: A Full One-Day Course
This course centers on Yassa! Imazu!! 2026 (やっさ！今津！！2026), held on Saturday, August 1, 2026 starting at 19:00, and lets you enjoy a full day in Imazu, Takashima City, on the shore of Lake Biwa. At midday, learn the story of the song connected to Imazu at the Lake Biwa Rowing Song Museum (琵琶湖周航の歌資料館), and enjoy the waterfront of Lake Biwa at Imazu Beach (今津浜水泳場). In the afternoon, stop by Sumiyoshi Shrine (住吉神社) for a quiet moment, and in the evening, move to the venue area around Sumiyoshi Park (住吉公園) to fill up on festival food stalls while waiting for the show to begin. From 19:00 for one hour, fireworks launch into the night sky over the shore of Lake Biwa. This is a summer day plan unique to Imazu, packing in both lakeside nature and a local summer festival.
