2026 Horyu Tanabata Kiriko Festival: Hokkoku Fireworks Suzu Horyu Tournament — A Full-Day Course
This course centers on the Horyu Tanabata Kiriko Festival: Hokkoku Fireworks Suzu Horyu Tournament, held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, and lets you enjoy a full day in the Mitsuke area of Suzu City (珠洲市), Ishikawa Prefecture. At midday, stroll along the coast while gazing at Mitsukejima (見附島), a striking rock formation known as 'Battleship Island'; in the afternoon, enjoy hunting for souvenirs at Michi-no-Eki Suzunari (道の駅すずなり) while learning about Noto's (能登) salt-field culture. After soaking your feet at the city's only foot bath at Iida Wakuwaku Plaza (飯田わくわく広場) in central Suzu City (珠洲市), return to the Mitsuke area in the evening to cool off and grab an early bite. As night falls, fireworks will light up the sky over Mitsuke Park (見附公園) one after another. This is a plan unique to Suzu, packed with breathtaking scenery, Noto's culture, and summer fireworks.
