2026 Lake Ashi Summer Festival Week: Kosui-sai Fireworks Festival — Full-Day Course
This course centers on the Kosui-sai Fireworks Festival, part of Lake Ashi Summer Festival Week, held on Friday, July 31, 2026, and lets you spend a full day taking in Hakone's nature and history. At midday, visit Hakone Shrine, known for its torii gate standing in the lake, then stroll through the lush Onshi-Hakone Park. In the afternoon, visit Hakone Checkpoint, which evokes the Edo period, before enjoying a stroll on Lake Ashi aboard a sightseeing boat. In the evening, secure a spot for the fireworks while having dinner on the Motohakone lakeshore, and at 8pm, about 5,000 fireworks launch from the surface of Lake Ashi, their light reflecting on the mountain-ringed lake to close out a summer night in Hakone.
