2026 50th Ashigara Kintaro Festival Full-Day Course
On August 2nd, 2026 (Sunday), a full-day course to enjoy Minami-Ashigara City, the homeland of the Kintaro legend, with the 50th Ashigara Kintaro Festival at Tsujishita Grounds as the centerpiece. In the daytime, visit Daiyuzan Saijoji Temple, a historic temple known for tengu legends, and learn about the local history connected to Kintaro at the Minami-Ashigara City Local History Museum. After a break at Nakanuma Park, move to Tsujishita Grounds in the evening to enjoy the festival with mikoshi processions, street performances, and Bon dances while waiting for the fireworks.
