2026 Wakasa Takahama Fireworks Festival: A Full-Day Course
This course centers on the Wakasa Takahama Fireworks Festival, held from 20:00 on Saturday, August 1, 2026, along Takahama Town's (高浜町) Eastern Coast (東部海岸, from Wakasa Wada Beach to Shiroyama Beach), and lets you spend a full day in Takahama Town (高浜町), a beach resort town facing Wakasa Bay (若狭湾). At midday, fill up at a seaside roadside station, and in the afternoon enjoy the sea at Wakasa Wada Beach (若狭和田ビーチ), selected as one of Japan's Top 88 Swimming Beaches. In the evening, take in Meikyodo (明鏡洞), a striking rock formation carved by nature, and get a panoramic view of Wakasa Bay (若狭湾) from Shiroyama Park (城山公園). About 3,500 fireworks color the night sky of beautiful Wakasa Bay (若狭湾) for a finale packed with the sea and nature. This is a recommended day plan for families who want to enjoy both swimming and breathtaking scenery to the fullest.
