2026 Seiryuen Festival: A Full-Day Enjoyment Course
With the Seiryuen Festival, held on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, as the highlight, this course lets you fully enjoy Matsukawa Town, nestled between the Southern and Central Alps, over the course of a day. At midday, get your body moving at the indoor heated pool of Refresh Town Matsukawa no Sato, then stroll through Daijo Park, where the ruins of Matsukawa Castle remain. In the afternoon, take a relaxed walk along the shore of Katagiri Dam, and after being soothed by the clear flow of the Oshimagawa Valley, head to the area around Seiryuen in the evening to have dinner and secure a spot. At 19:30, fireworks rise into the mountain night sky, and together with the murmur of the clear stream, you can enjoy a quiet, beautiful moment that closes out a summer night in southern Shinshu.
