2026 Shinshu Aoki Village Summer Festival & Grand Fireworks Display: Full-Day Course
Featuring the Shinshu Aoki Village Summer Festival & Grand Fireworks Display (信州青木村夏まつり・大花火大会) held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Aoki Village General Athletics Grounds (青木村総合グラウンド) in Aoki-mura, Chiisagata-gun (小県郡青木村), this is a full-day course exploring the village's historic temples and hot spring towns. At midday, visit Daiho-ji Temple (大法寺), known for its National Treasure three-story pagoda, then take a leisurely walk through two historic hot spring towns, Kutsukake Onsen (沓掛温泉) and Tazawa Onsen (田沢温泉). In the evening, fuel up around the venue before heading to the summer festival grounds, which open at 4:30 PM. Enjoy the festive atmosphere at the venue, lively with stalls and events, while waiting for dusk to fall. At night, fireworks color the sky, and you can enjoy the long finale that continues until 8:30 PM.
