2026 The 53rd Iwanai Dotou Matsuri: A Full-Day Course

This full-day course centers on the 53rd Iwanai Dotou Matsuri, held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at the special venue west of the Iwanai Regional Cultural Center in Iwanai Town, Hokkaido. At midday, enjoy art at a museum introducing a locally connected painter, and in the afternoon, take in the magnificent scenery of the Sea of Japan on a drive along the towering cliffs of the Raiden Coast. In the evening, have dinner at the venue while securing your spot to watch the fireworks. From 8:00 PM, about 5,000 fireworks shells color the night sky over Iwanai facing the Sea of Japan.
