2026 Kasuga-be Ōdako Fireworks Festival Full Day Course
A course to fully enjoy Kasugabe, known for its giant kites, centered around the Kasugabe Ōdako Fireworks Festival, which will be held starting at 8:10 PM on Saturday, August 22, 2026. In the daytime, enjoy food stalls at the shopping street in front of Kasugabe Station and experience the impressive giant kite displays at the Ōdako Museum. In the afternoon, stroll through the spacious lawn at Showa Comprehensive Park, which is also the venue, and relax with family. In the evening, return to the park to secure your spot and enjoy food from stalls or packed lunches. As night falls, fireworks light up the sky one after another. This is the definitive summer plan for Kasugabe, allowing you to enjoy both the traditional kite-flying tradition continuing from the Edo period and fireworks. Please note that the area around the venue will be very crowded on the day, so plan to arrive with plenty of time.
