2026 Suo Oshima Fireworks Festival: A Full-Day Course
A full-day course centered on the 2026 Suo Oshima Fireworks Festival, held Sunday, August 16, 2026, around the Ageshoji district and the Suo Oshima Town Office Tachibana Branch in Suo Oshima Town, Oshima District, Yamaguchi Prefecture. At midday, enjoy the Seto Inland Sea scenery and specialty products at Michi-no-Eki Southern Seto Towa, then experience history at Mutsu Memorial Museum, connected to the battleship Mutsu. In the afternoon, fully enjoy time on the shore at Star Beach, and in the evening pick up dinner at shops around Komatsu Port before heading to the venue. Following the bon dance from 7:20pm, about 5,000 fireworks launch into the night sky from 8pm. A summer day plan for Suo Oshima, packed generously with a tour of the Seto Inland Sea islands and fireworks in the night sky, fitting for closing out the season.
