2026 78th Nishio-Yonezu River Festival: Full-Day Enjoyment Course
This course centers on the 78th Nishio-Yonezu River Festival, held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, and lets you enjoy a full day in Nishio City, Aichi Prefecture. During the day, walk the streets of Nishio, known as a little Kyoto, and visit the historical park built on the former Nishio Castle grounds along with the quiet Japanese garden Shokoso. In the afternoon, rest at Michi-no-Eki Nishio Okanoyama, then take a look at the surface of the Yahagi River and its riverbed from Yonezu Bridge, near the venue. In the evening, have dinner in front of Nishio Station, and once night falls, head to the Yahagi riverside in Yonezu-cho. This is the definitive plan for closing out a Nishio summer, with about 3,000 fireworks coloring the river's surface.
