2026 Ashigara Fireworks Festival: A Full-Day Course

This is a full-day course centered on the Ashigara Fireworks Festival, held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at the Sakawa River Chomin Shinsui Plaza and Kaisei Waterside Sports Park in Kaisei Town, Kanagawa Prefecture. During the day, view the summer tradition of rice paddy art from the observation deck at Kaisei Town Ajisai no Sato, and take a leisurely walk along Bunmei Levee beside the Sakawa River. In the afternoon, enjoy signature local food and a foot bath at Michi-no-Eki Ashigara, known as the home of the Kintaro legend, and in the evening, have an early dinner at the food stalls at Waterside Sports Park. Once night falls, about 1,300 fireworks shells light up the night sky over the Sakawa River, for a summer day plan in the Ashigara area, surrounded by water and greenery. With both rice paddy art and fireworks packed in, it's a great course for a family summer vacation.
