2026 The 21st Mutsu City Fireworks Festival: Full-Day Enjoyment Course

Centered on the 21st Mutsu City Fireworks Festival, held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 (postponed from the originally planned August 11 due to weather considerations), this course lets you fully enjoy Mutsu City (むつ市), the center of the Shimokita Peninsula (下北半島), for a whole day. During the day, visit Tanabu Shrine (田名部神社), stroll through Jinja Yokocho (神社横丁), and take in the port town scenery at Ominato Rinkai Park (おおみなと臨海公園). In the evening, return to the Tanabu River (田名部川) riverbed to fill up and secure a spot, then at night fireworks from Ohira Quay (大平岸壁) color the Shimokita night sky. It's a day plan packed with history, the port, and the summer of the Shimokita Peninsula.
