2026 – Mori Town Cooling Fireworks Festival (Reiwa 8): Full-Day Course

This full-day course centers on the Reiwa 8 Mori Town Cooling Fireworks Festival (森町納涼花火大会), held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, and takes in Mori Town, known as the Little Kyoto of Enshu. At midday, visit Konomiya Shrine (小國神社), known as a deity of matchmaking, and enjoy strolling its garden. In the afternoon, tour Koshoji Temple (香勝寺), beloved as the hydrangea temple, and in the evening, snack your way through the old town area, home to Guesthouse Mori to Machi (ゲストハウス森と町). As the sun sets, move to the Ota River riverbed (太田川河川敷), the festival venue, to have dinner while claiming a spot, and watch the fireworks from the riverside. A plan for leisurely enjoying lush shrines and temples together with riverside fireworks – a fitting way to close out summer.
