2026 Sagara Offshore Fireworks Festival 2026: Full-Day Course
This full-day course centers on the Sagara Offshore Fireworks Festival (さがら海上花火大会), held on Saturday, September 5, 2026, and takes in Makinohara City, surrounded by tea fields and the sea. At midday, take in a sweeping view of tea fields from the Great Tea Plantation Observatory (大茶園展望台) at Makinohara Park (牧之原公園), and in the afternoon learn about local history at the Sagara Castle Ruins and Sagara History Museum (相良城跡・相良史料館). Feel the sea breeze at Shizunami Beach (静波海岸), then take a footbath break at Sagara Kosare Onsen Kaikan (さがら子生れ温泉会館). In the evening, move to the area around Sagara Port (相良港), the festival venue, to have dinner while claiming a spot, and watch about 1,173 fireworks from the seaside. An early-autumn plan for enjoying breathtaking tea-field views and seaside fireworks to the fullest.
