2026 Nahari Port Festival: A Full Day to Enjoy
Centered on the Nahari Port Festival (奈半利町港まつり) held on Sunday, August 16, 2026, this course lets you enjoy a full day in Nahari, a small port town in Tosa. At midday, enjoy a stroll surrounded by flowers at Monet's Garden Marmottan (モネの庭 マルモッタン), which recreates a French Impressionist garden, and in the afternoon walk through the samurai residence streets of Doi-Kakuchu (土居廓中), which still retain traces of the Tosa domain era. Take in the port scenery at the mouth of the Nahari River (奈半利川), stop by Tanoya Enjiro (田野屋塩二郎), a sun-dried salt works in neighboring Tano Town, then move to the venue in front of Nahari Station (奈半利駅) for dinner while staking out your spot. Once the sun sets, look up at about 3,700 fireworks over the night sky of the port town. This is a generously packed day plan combining a garden, a historical walk, and fireworks by the port.
