Myoken Taisai Festival: A Full-Day Course
This full-day course centers on the 《Myoken Taisai》 festival (August 16–22, 2026, opening on August 16), held at Chiba Shrine, which enshrines Myoken-sama, the guardian deity associated with the Chiba clan. By day, trace the city's history at the Chiba City Folk Museum, known as Chiba Castle, then take a breather amid the greenery of Chiba City Chuo Park. After exploring the wonders of science at the Chiba City Science Museum Qiball, refuel with dinner at the Fuji-mi shopping street. At 17:00, as you approach Chiba Shrine, the sound of festival music begins to fill the air, marking the start of the Myoken Taisai, a festival that continues for a full week. It's a day for the family to experience both Chiba's history and a traditional festival in one go.
