
2026 Oshika Whale Festival Full Day Course
A one-day course centered around the "Oshika Whale Festival" held in Ayukawa, Ishinomaki City, known as a town with whaling heritage (August 8, 2026; Yusho-sen Waterfront Square). In the afternoon, experience the ecology of whales and the history of whaling at Oshika Whale Land, and enjoy magnificent views of Kinkazan from Ombanshoya Park. Next, learn about the peninsula's nature at the Oshika Peninsula Visitor Center, then take in spectacular Pacific Ocean views from an observatory along Cobalt Line. In the evening, explore dining options at Ayukawa Port, then head to the festival venue at 5 PM.
