
2026 Jantokoi Uozu Festival Full-Day Course
A full-day course to enjoy the opening day of the 'Jantokoi Uozu Festival' (August 7-9, 2026, around Suwa Shrine and the harbor town 'Tatemon' festival venue), which closes out the summer season in the port town of Uozu, known for its mirages and submerged forest. Spend the daytime staying cool at Uozu Aquarium while meeting creatures of the sea, and touch the wonders of the rare ocean-floor forest and mirage at the Submerged Forest Museum. After bathing in sea breezes at Marine Station Mirage, have an early dinner near Uozu Station. From evening onward, Suwa Shrine and the surrounding harbor town become the festival stage, where towering illuminated mountains called Tatemon parade around—Uozu's unique summer seaside festival.
