2026 Niigata Festival 1-Day Full Experience Course
A 1-day course centered on the first day of the Niigata Festival (August 7, 2026, around Masagidani Alley to Bandai Bridge to Bandai district), which marks the end of summer in Niigata, a port town open to the Sea of Japan. Spend the afternoon learning about the history of this port town at the Niigata History Museum Minato Pia, enjoying a peaceful time at the verdant Hakusan Park and Hakusan Shrine, and taking a leisurely walk through the Furucho shopping street. At dusk, shop and have an early dinner at Bandai City, then at 5pm head to the venue around Bandai Bridge. Experience Niigata's characteristic large-scale summer festival, where folk singers bring heat and fireworks illuminate the Shinano River, with your family. This is a course where you can experience both the history of a port town and the energy of a festival in one day.
