2026 Echizen City Summer Festival Furusato Matsuri: A Full One-Day Course
A one-day course to enjoy the first day of the Furusato Matsuri (August 14-15, 2026, at Takefu Central Park, Echizen City, Fukui Prefecture), the festival that colors summer in Echizen City. During the day, relax at the garden associated with Murasaki Shikibu, stroll through the historic streets of Kura no Tsuji, and experience the craftsmanship of Echizen's artisans at Takefu Knife Village. In the evening, have an early dinner near Takefu Station, then head to Takefu Central Park at 5:00 PM.
