2026 Tsuruga Matsuri: A Full One-Day Course
A one-day course to enjoy the first day of the Tsuruga Matsuri (September 2-5, 2026, around Kehi Jingu Shrine, Tsuruga City, Fukui Prefecture), a four-day festival centered on Kehi Jingu, a leading shrine of the Hokuriku region. During the day, feel the sea breeze at Kehi no Matsubara, one of Japan's three great pine groves, learn about the port town's history at Tsuruga Red Brick Warehouse and Tsuruga Museum, and spend a quiet moment at Kanegasaki Shrine. In the evening, have an early dinner in the town center, then head to Kehi Jingu Shrine at 5:00 PM. Experience the excitement of the festival that colors Tsuruga's autumn, with floats and portable shrines parading through the streets, together with your family.
