
2026 Iwaki Tanabata Festival - Full Day Experience Course
This is a full-day course featuring the first day of the "Iwaki Tanabata Festival," held from August 6 (Thursday) to August 8 (Saturday), 2026, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the shopping street in front of Iwaki Station in Iwaki City. In the morning, experience historical architecture at the National Treasure Hakusuizu Amidado Hall and enjoy the world of dinosaurs and fossils at the Iwaki Coal and Fossil Museum Horuru. Next, appreciate art at the Iwaki Municipal Museum of Art, and pick up beverages and light breakfast at Latov near the station before heading to the shopping street at 10 a.m. opening time. As evening approaches, Tanabata decorations sway and food stalls light up, allowing parents and children to stroll leisurely. A full, enriching day where you can enjoy history, natural science, art, and colorful Tanabata decorations all at once.
