Matsuri Tsukuba unfolds around Tsukuba Express Tsukuba Station, holding over two days—August 22–23, 2026. This course centers on the inaugural day, August 22, as a full-day experience. During the day, enjoy science-themed exhibits at Tsukuba Expo Center, wander through verdant plant life at the Tsukuba Botanical Garden, and rest by the lake at Dohoune Park. In the evening, have an early dinner at E-Ias Tsukuba, then at 5 PM, the festival launches in earnest around Tsukuba Station. Witness parades and dance performances transforming the station district, and immerse yourself in the festival's energy until 8:30 PM closure—a complete day experiencing Tsukuba's summer spirit in yukata.
