2026 Shimizu Harbor Festival - Full Day Experience
A one-day course centered on the first day of the "Shimizu Minato Festival" (July 31 - August 2, 2026), which adds color to the summer of the port town of Shimizu. In the daytime, play at Espuls Dream Plaza, the hometown of Chibi Maruko-chan, visit the birthplace of Shimizu Jiro-cho, and enjoy the spectacular views of Mount Fuji and pine forest at Miho no Matsubara, a UNESCO World Heritage site. In the evening, savor food stall gourmet at Marine Kitchen around Hinode Pier, and at night, experience the main event of the Shimizu Minato Festival Kappo Sodo Odori. The heat of dancers filling Satsuki Street is a unique summer tradition only found in the port town of Shimizu. A full day experiencing the charm of Shimizu Port, from daytime harbor sightseeing to the excitement of the night group dance.
