2026 Mishima Grand Festival (三嶋大祭り) Full-Day Course
This one-day course centers on the opening day of the Mishima Grand Festival (三嶋大祭り), held August 15–17, 2026, unfolding around Mishima Taisha (三嶋大社), the guardian shrine of all Izu. By day, visit Mishima Taisha, the heart of the festival, then take a break at Rakujuen (楽寿園), known as a spring-water garden. At the Kakita River Springs (柿田川湧水群), be soothed by the clear blue flow born from water that has filtered down through Mt. Fuji. After an early dinner around Mishima Odori (三島大通り) in the evening, the night's main event finally begins, with floats and hand-held fireworks parading from in front of Mishima Taisha to in front of Mishima-Hirokoji Station. A day spent surrounded by the water and greenery so characteristic of Mishima, followed by a night alive with festival music — a course that lets you experience both faces in a single day.
