2026 Miya Odori Festival 1-Day Perfect Course
A 1-day course featuring the "Miya Odori" (August 2, 2026), which colors the summer of Fujinomiya, a city of Mt. Fuji faith. During the day, visit a park where children can play freely on wide lawns and play equipment, pay respects at Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha, the head shrine of Mt. Fuji worship, and spend time learning at the World Heritage Center with its distinctive inverted Mt. Fuji-like building. After enjoying Fujinomiya's famous yakisoba at Omiya Yokocho, the night brings the main Miya Odori performance on the main street around Sengen Taisha. The simple and warm Bon Odori dance, where local people form circles and dance together, conveys the summer charm unique to the town at the foot of Mt. Fuji. Spend a day with Fujinomiya's character: exploring sites of nature and faith during the day, and dancing in circles at a summer festival at night.
