2026 Tsuno Shrine (Ichinomiya of Hyuga Province) Summer Festival: A Full-Day Course
This one-day course centers on the first day of the Summer Festival at Tsuno Shrine (都農神社), an Ichinomiya (first-ranked shrine) of Hyuga Province that has drawn devotion since ancient times, held on August 1 and 2, 2026 around the shrine. During the day, enjoy the vineyard scenery and juice at Tsuno Winery (都農ワイナリー), then browse local specialty products at the Michi-no-Eki Tsuno (道の駅つの) roadside station. Next, feel the sea breeze at Takanabe Beach (高鍋海水浴場), also known as Kaguchihama, in neighboring Takanabe Town south of Tsuno, then freshen up with a soak at Osuzu Sansan no Yu (尾鈴サンサンの湯) hot spring. In the evening, head to the grounds of Tsuno Shrine, lined with food stalls, as the summer festival gets into full swing at 17:00. This course, recommended for families, lets you enjoy the bountiful scenery unique to this grape-growing town and the summer festival of a venerable shrine, all in a single day.
