2026 Hayachine Shrine Reitaisai (Annual Festival) Full-Day Course

This is the Reitaisai (Annual Festival, August 1, 2026, 10:00-16:00) held at Hayachine Shrine (早池峰神社) in Ohasama-cho, Hanamaki City, at the foot of the sacred Mount Hayachine (早池峰山). This full-day course puts the spotlight on the quiet mountain temple town, where Hayachine Kagura (早池峰神楽), registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, is dedicated. In the morning, warm your body in the footbath at Dai Onsen (台温泉), experience the vineyard scenery at Ohasama's pride, Edel Wein (エーデルワイン), and stop by the exchange facility Aeria (あえりあ), where local products are on display. After gazing up at Mount Hayachine from the trailhead at Kawarabo (河原坊), the sound of taiko drums and flutes will finally begin to resound through the shrine grounds at 10:00. It is a day for the whole family to fully savor the solemn kagura and the clear mountain-village air from the morning onward.
