2026 Yamagoe Heated Pool (やまごえ温水プール, Kyoto City Municipal) Full-Day Course

A one-day course for solid morning swimming, starring Yamagoe Heated Pool (やまごえ温水プール), a Kyoto City municipal facility in Umegahata, Ukyo Ward, Kyoto City. It is open year-round, Tuesday through Sunday from 9:00 to 12:00 and 13:30 to 16:30, and sits at the foot of cool Mount Takao. In the morning, first walk along the Kiyotaki River (清滝川) and spend quiet time gazing at the clear water and greenery unique to a mountain gorge. Then walk a short stretch of the approach to Jingoji Temple (神護寺), breathing in the forest air beyond the stone steps, before heading on to the pool. Arrive in time for the 9:30 opening and swim thoroughly until closing at 12:00. Because the site is surrounded by mountains, you can enjoy the greenery on the way there and back as well.
