2026 Katsuura Water Island Full-Day Course

Katsuura Water Island, the floating aquatic obstacle course that appears inside Katsuura Seaside Base in Katsuura City, Chiba Prefecture, operates in 2026 from July through August, from 9:00 to 17:00 with multiple time slots (regular operation begins Monday, July 27). It is a facility for dynamic, summery water play, balancing your way across colourful obstacle features floating on the sea. While the early morning air still lingers, look in on Katsuura Morning Market (勝浦朝市), counted among Japan's three great morning markets, and take in the lively atmosphere of stalls lined with fresh seafood and local vegetables. Next, stop by Tomisaki Shrine (遠見岬神社), also known for its doll-decorated stone steps, and pay your respects in grounds with a vermilion torii gate and stone stairway. After a lunch break, head to Water Island floating on the sea. A full-day course where you can move your body freely until evening while taking in the sea views of Katsuura.
