2026 Yoro Valley and Awamata Falls Area Full-Day Course
The Yoro Valley and Awamata Falls area in Otaki Town, Chiba Prefecture is a river-play spot open at all times except during high water or typhoons. Walking the valley-side paths, you can touch the water at falls large and small and in the shallows - a signature natural spot of the Boso Peninsula. In the morning, first visit Otaki Castle (大多喜城), which retains traces of the Edo period, and touch the history of the castle town. Next, stop by Michi-no-Eki Takeyura-no-Sato Otaki (道の駅たけゆらの里おおたき), lined with local specialties, to pick up lunch and take a break. In the afternoon, head to Yoro Valley. Walk the path overlooking Awamata Falls and, since the water is cold, choose the sunnier hours to enjoy water play in the shallows until evening. A full-day course full of Boso summer, spent wrapped in the air of a deeply green valley.
